The charity of Mariya Zan’kovetska in the context of the charity of the nation

Summary/Abstract: The article enlightens the charity of an amazing artist Mariya Zan’kovetska, connected first of all with her national-civil position, rejection of labor on Russian imperial stage in favor of serving Ukrainian stage, selfless help to some Ukrainian theaters and young actors. The question of modern benefaction in Ukraine is also considered, the need to develop charitable nation is emphasized. In connection with the celebration of the 2014 anniversary date – 160th anniversary of the birth of Maria Zankovetska, there is an urgent need to re-evaluate the figure of the brilliant Ukrainian artist. It is important to continue to study not only the actor's creativity Zankovetska, but show it as a human, social and cultural activist who boundlessly loved their enslaved Ukraine, helped everyone who needed her help. Actually, it is a charity Mary K., who had not considered separately.
