Summary/Abstract: The present article is dedicated to the research of chamber instrumental works of Odessa composer school representatives of late XX – early XXI century. During the study, analysis of instruments, genre and stylistic guidelines of modern ensemble works has been made. Besides, the study outlines the correlation between tradition and innovation in inter-genre and inter-style level, which is a reflection of great historical dialogue of cultures and eras beyond space and time barriers. At the current stage of Ukraine’s musical art development, achievements of previous generations of specialists in composition techniques get further development and deeper understanding. The number of musical expression tools is constantly being expanded by exploration of infinite possibilities of instruments in intonation and sonorism types of music; genres and styles get renovated. This all leads to formation of modern musical vocabulary and enrichment of the genre and stylistic content of the national musical culture. Most part of chamber instrumental works written at the turn of XX and XXI centuries is currently out of cultural and scientific research fields and that it why it requires a comprehensive study from the modern theory, cultural history and musicology points of view.
