Multi-criteria assessment of company’s long-term performance

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the possibilities of usage of Professor Z. Hellwig’s taxonomical method for multi-criteria assessment of company’s performance in long periods of time. Particular attention has been paid to the question of choosing the criteria that constitute the basis of the assessment. Inflation and deflation phenomena in the economy have been observed to have significant influence on shaping the values of criteria of financial character. Their influence should be therefore consulted in the measurement process. Synthetic numerical measures have been assigned to the effects of companies’ activities in particular years.
