Summary/Abstract: The magnitude of the migration phenomenon, despite measures to diminish the migratory flow, has brought the European Union to an unprecedented challenge in its history and against which, as it has been so far, is not prepared to defend itself effectively. It is even necessary to modify the regulation of the legal status of refugees at the level of the European Union, both in terms of granting refugee status and especially as regards the integration of refugees into society.
