Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to compare the use of triangular Convex Fuzzy Numbers (CFNs) and triangular Ordered Fuzzy Numbers (OFNs) in the Fuzzy SAW method (FSAW). Additionally, in order to obtain unambiguous objects, we studied the use of two defuzzification methods: the Center of Gravity method (CoG) and the method based on Mellin transform. The paper includes the theoretical basis of the study and a numerical example. Summing up the results, it can be concluded that the use of OFN numbers in the FSAW method is unreasonable. It does not affect the results of objects order and it only affects the visual aspects of the assessment. Furthermore, in some cases, the results are in the form of improper OFNs; which in turn does not allow the use of the method based on Mellin transform (the method more precise than the CoG method).
