Summary/Abstract: In the article the analysis of traditions of the domestic Volyn rituals is considered with application of ethnic clothing. The connection of religious archaic archetypes is specified with their transformation processes in the ceremonies of Volyn. The aim of the article is a reflection of basic traditional elements characteristic in the Volyn ethnic suit for the processes of regional ceremonial cycle. The tasks of the article are to analyse fragmentary the vital evolution of rituals with a folk dress; to specify their connection with the archaically-religious forms of vital functions; to show that we can to research the transformation processes of Volyn ceremonial ethnic dress (from birth to death) only on archaic soil. Methodology. The author used such methods as historical retrospective, structural-functional, descriptive and system ones of the third generation etc. Scientific novelty. In the article the author is the first who widely analysed the rites of the Volyn region ethnic clothes. This material was systematized and logically expounded. Conclusion. Thus, on the basis of the researched literature, we make the following conclusions. The folk fashion is a complex of many components of clothes. Each of them in the certain circumstances (in a folk calendar and in domestic holidays) actively joins in various ceremonial actions. The regional ceremonies, that have practical and entertaining soil, are the most permanent. They keep the archetypes of old Volyn folklore. The ethnic Volyn motifs were manifested in the collections of the Ukrainian designers.
