Summary/Abstract: The article considers the Biedermeier as a phenomenon of European culture, generated by the Restoration era. Evolution and typological quality Biedermeier around the diversity of its national models (German, Polish, Russian, Italian, French) are projected onto the piano music of the XIX century and its performance traditions. Methodology. The methodology of the study addressed: source study method intonation approach B. Asafiev school building on the hermeneutic method, and position-stylistic comparative method used to determine the total and perfect in the historical evolution of the Biedermeier and its analogues in the cultural practices of various national schools in Europe; theoretical method used to determine the basic conceptual and structural and semantic features of the material. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of this work is to establish a theoretical idea of having different national schools, particularly in the art of piano, Biedermeier style qualities, as well as their interaction with romanticism.
