Summary/Abstract: The purpose of research is to prove the concept of the signal musical composition in musical culture of Ukraine of the last third of ХХ сеntury – Ivan Karabits’s concerto for chorus, soloists and symphony orchestra «Garden of Divine Songs» («Sad bozhestvennykh pesnei») as a representation of the national Ukrainian world view. The choice of its musical composition is predefined aspiration of research – the sign phenomenon, which contains transitional period’s features from position of historical distance. Methodology. The research methodology is based on structurally-functional and musically-semiotics methods of analysis. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the research is the analysis of musical composition, which became unique in the historical context of Socialist Realism Aesthetics’ prevailing in Ukrainian musical culture as creation, which contained the deep-root signs of national mentality. The author offers a scientific description algorithm for phenomena in musical culture from the standpoint of the culture’s national self-identification. The analysis of the composition represents its musical logos in aspect of the national Ukrainian world view and testifies an unique composer’s musical intuition, which overcomes stability of society’s ideological and valued guidelines last third of XX сеntury. Conclusions. The artistic conception of the choral Concerto «Garden of Divine Songs» by I. Karabits represents the morality of Skovoroda’s works.
