Summary/Abstract: The article researches the entity and the moral bases of medieval justice. Much attention is paid to reviewing the medieval intelligentsia’s role in the course of legal proceedings. Attention to dogmatic and common perception of a justice phenomenon by society is paid, its contents and value is set. The conclusion is drawn that the court was the most important element of culture of medieval society which found its expression even in the sphere of entertainment and leisure.
