Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the author stresses the main trends in Spain in contemporary research in rhetoric, as well as the most influential authors, their international renown, the current major research projects and their theoretical and methodological input into the scholarly discussion in Spain. After discussing the general framework, the author presents contributions by individual scholars included in this monographic issue.
