Triple Helix Model in the increase of the innovation effects and competitiveness

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the paper was the presentation of the Triple Helix Model in the increase of the innovation effects and competitiveness. The specific objectives of the research involve the presentation of the innovation system and the innovation process, innovation system on regional level, Triple Helix Model in the creation of innovation and competitiveness. The problems were researched by quantity and quality scientific methods. Descriptive, comparatist, statistic and prognostic and deduction methods were particularly used. An important result of the research is the conclusion that the connections between science, industry and governance are very important in the innovation process. There is positive dependence between innovation activity and effectiveness of the innovation process. More interaction and cooperation can be observed on the regional level than on the state one.
