THE SLOPE OF THE WARTA RIVER VALLEY NEAR UNIEJÓW

Summary/Abstract: Slopes are an important element of a river valley. They determine the specific character of thevalley and the attractiveness of its landscape, and influence the type of its development. The Wartavalley slopes in the vicinity of Uniejów are asymmetric, with the eastern slope high and steep, atplaces cut with dry valleys. The article describes a section of the slope 13 km long, its origin andgeological structure. It also explains its impact on the micro-climate (including the strength anddirection of the wind).
