Summary/Abstract: The author examines some of the provisions the Law no. 40 of 31 March 2011 amending and supplementing Law no. 53/2003-Labour Code in relation with the European concept of flexisecurity. A number of considerations are presented concerning the relationship between labour relations flexibility and employee protection under the provisions of the new law in areas such as: the individual fixed-term labour contract, working time, labour standards, vocational training, collective agreements.
