Summary/Abstract: The article shows the process of personnel rotation in the Yaroslavl museum of local lore during the 1930-s political repressions. Shown is the process of «proletarianization» of the list of employees, the mechanism of replacement of old experts, a role of the party organization in these processes. Considered is the dependence of museum work on the qualification of museum workers.
