Summary/Abstract: The article considers various periodicals of the late Victorian era as the sources displaying processes of change of traditional models of gender roles in society. These editions promoting intellectual, high moral education, gradual finding of more internal and external public freedom, eventually, contributed to the new female intelligentsia formation in England.
