Summary/Abstract: The research deals with the definition of the role of schools in forming of the kobzar’s vocal culture in Ukraine, based on the principle of cultural and genetic inheritance of vocal traditions. Methodology. The methods of the research are general and specific scientist. The above-mentioned methodological approach allows to reveal and to analyze kobzar’s school in the historic context and the reconstructing cultural phenomena of genetic space. Scientific Novelty. The novelty of the research means the complex research of Ukrainian Cossack’s vocal art as a phenomenon of vocal school. It is synchronized «as a certain variety of regional schools or phenomena of cultural and genetic space, starting with the song and mythological traditions to postmodern forms of the mass-media space» and diachronic aspect «as cultural and genetic typology institutionalization of the vocal culture of Ukraine». Conclusions. The gained results of the institutionalization of the features kobzar’s vocal art in the context of vocal schools allow Ukraine to determine the characteristics and typology of regional cultural determinants that affect the formation of vocal school.
