Summary/Abstract: Mills are an essential part of cultural landscape of Uniejów municipality. The article presentsavailable information concerning the history of mills in Uniejów area. It identifies probablelocation of the mills in the 1930s on the basis of their real remnants. It also describes the presentcondition of engine-driven mills built by Wojciechowski brothers in Uniejów and Pelc brothersin Wilamów. Next, the article presents problems involved in translocation of mills from Zbylczyceand Chorzepin (Świnice Warckie commune) and construction of the educational and touristcomplex “Zagroda Młynarska” (Miller’s Farmstead) in Uniejów, and discusses the historical andrestoration aspect. It also explains the role of historical mills in cultural tourism development. It isindicated that further studies of the history of mills should be carried out, and restoration postulatesfor existing mills in Uniejów commune are formulated.
