Summary/Abstract: The article considers ‘the Russian mission’ of Fedor Avgustovich Stepun in Germany. The article is constructed in the form of a dialogue between Germans and the Russian thinker. This allows to show differences in perception of the Russian events, characteristic tendencies and delusions of the German public. Such works of Stepun as ‘Thoughts about Russia’ and ‘Letters from Germany’ are analyzed. Revealed is the lecturing activity of F. A. Stepun during the Dresden period of his life (1926—1937) and the reaction of different layers of the German society to the mentioned activity. The conclusion is drawn about F. Stepun's contribution to comprehension by the German audience of the essence of the Russian revolution.
