Summary/Abstract: The Visegrad Group (V4) is an institutionalized form of cooperation among four countries: Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Currently, short tourist trips lasting several days play an increasingly important role. Fitting into this trend is one of the most obvious directions of cooperation among the countries of the group and tourism among them may become a visible element of statistics of the departures and arrivals abroad in each of the four countries. The objective of the article is an attempt to find the causes of development of tourism among the countries of the group. Surveys among 197 students of tourism in all countries of the group who perceive tourist attractiveness in specific countries of V4 quite stereotypically have been conducted to achieve the objective. An analysis of the offers of travel agencies in V4 as well as an analysis of promotional activity of the institutions representing particular countries which confirms differentiated activity of the National Tourism Organizations have been made.
