Summary/Abstract: In the article the author analyses the approaches to notions of "reward" and "public Award" in the so-ciological context based on a critical and comparative analysis, gives the author's definition. The aim of this paper is to identify major issues associated with the uncertainty of definition in sociological science and legis-lative practice to reveal the problematization of society and public policy through national awards.
