Summary/Abstract: Proactive approach to natural environment of companies implies the acceptance of the undertaking of proactive environmental strategy that anticipates the changing business landscape and use of social, environmental and economic pressures as a source of innovation. This means anticipating events occurring in the legal environment and voluntary adaptation to the most restrictive environmental standards. This entails a change in the sphere of technique and technology to meet the growing demands and emission standards. In order to achieve competitive advantage companies need a coherent synthesis of approaches to environmental issues. The aim of the article is to present the sources of factors of the changes for the implementation of proactive environmental strategy.
