Summary/Abstract: Formation and development of "women's rights" in the customary and legal culture and in the public law of Kievan Rus were studied. State of Ukrainian woman in the context of people's legal, moral and ethical traditions and customs were examined. The structure of marriage affairs was characterized, that was developed by Christian princes and churchmen.
