О ВОЗМОЖНОМ УЧАСТИИ Ф. М. ДОСТОЕВСКОГО В НАПИСАНИИ РЕЦЕНЗИИ НА ЖУРНАЛ «УЧИТЕЛЬ»
ON THE POSSIBLE INVOLVEMENT OF F. M. DOSTOYEVSKY IN WRITING THE REVIEW OF THE MAGAZINE “UCHITEL’”

Summary/Abstract: The article is concerned with the problem of authorship of the anonymous review under the title “Uchitel’. The magazine for mentors, parents and everybody who wants to deal with children upbringing and education”, which was published in the 6th edition of the magazine “Vremia” in 1861. The author analyzes existing hypothesis on the authorship of this review, whether it belongs to the pen of M. Vladislavlev, P. Kuskov, or F. Dostoyevsky. The purpose of the work is to conduct the ideological-thematic, stylistic and linguistic analysis of the review and to complete it by comparing this review with other texts of the above mentioned authors. On the basis of this study an assumption was made that Vladislavlev could not be the author of the review on the magazine “Uchitel’”. In addition, in this work we hypothesize that the text of the review belongs to Kuskov, however, it is possible to detect editorial corrections carried out by Dostoyevsky and some fragmented notes written on behalf of the journal “Vremia”. The notes are, primarily, characterized by their polemical tone and the free usage of the editorial “we”.
