Summary/Abstract: As the Korean language is gaining popularity within business, culture and media spheres, there appeared a necessity of translating original Korean texts into different languages. This involves various problems concerning lexical aspects. Technical or academic texts, newspaper articles have their own specific features which can be explained by dictionaries only. Due to the differences in language structure, culture and traditions, it may appear that some of lexical units in literary texts are quite hard to translate.
