Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the social management of post-modern period of human development. Issues of social control have been studied by foreign and domestic scholars, namely V. Andruschenko, E. Aronson, O. Belyaєv, B. Gaєvsky, N. Gegen, V. Dobrenkov, G. Kunz, S. O'Donnell, D. Kenrik, S. Neysberg, G. Saymon, D. Stoun, J. Turner, M. Shulga, G. Shiler, G. Franke, G. Emerson.The purpose of this article is the study of the functioning feature, content management social development trends of postmodernity. The article singled out two models of social management: rational and discursive. It is proved that postnonclassical social rationality is based primarily on the discursive management. Analyzes the content and nature of discursive control, the discourse as the world language, the world of action, method of construction of social reality. The concept of discursive control based on the study of texts in French cultural studies P. Serio analysis of Soviet political discourse. In the study of problems used methods of discourse analysis, hermeneutics, systematic approach. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of the manipulation of social and individual consciousness. Describes the role and significance of the social unconscious in manipulative practices. We study the well-known consequences of manipulation: bigotry, brainwashing, pathological gambling. In conclusion, identifies the main characteristics of discursive control negative effects of the manipulation of consciousness, how to prevent them.
