Risk management of real estate equity release

Summary/Abstract: Real estate equity release is a new financial solution available on the Polish financial market which enables recovering cash flows from capital invested in real estates. In particular such equity release led to the improvement of financial situation of elderly people, whose income deteriorated comparing to the period of their professional activity. Because such products join lending, insurance, real property market as well as pension schemes, they generate types of risk not found in other traditional financial products. Entities offering sale as well as loan model of equity release need to manage the longevity, property price, and interest rates risks.
