The lower Suceava Valley - toponymic marks in written documents

Summary/Abstract: Each and every toponym present on the toponymic map of the lower valley of Suceava River is of high interest to researchers. On the one hand, they contain pieces of information relative to historical, social, cultural aspects comprised by the written documents; on the other hand, they provide information on the peculiarities of the vernacular in the region under scrutiny. It is obvious that their source must be always sought both in the written documents, and in the vocabulary of the common speech.
