Summary/Abstract: In the times when academic achievement and progress are indicated by the Index of Scientific Aptitude, many have started running after academic points. It is more often than not that people are poor writers and that no attention is paid to what is being published. The aim of this paper is to give an overview and analyze the existing situation regarding scientific papers published in the field of tourism, as well as to suggest directions to be followed if the present state is to be improved
