Summary/Abstract: Regulation of rights and obligations between parents and children can be found throughout the civil code, even in the context of inheritance law, which also establishes the obligation of parents to leave a child its legitimate portion. This obligation corresponds to the right of the child to this legitimate portion. Relationships between parents and children may not always be ideal, and life can bring different situations that may endanger the right to legitimate portion.
