Summary/Abstract: From 2013 to 2015 in Lublin an intensification of the competition among shopping centers could be observed (in particular years the new market players appeared in the discussed sector, which caused the increase in the number of big shopping centers from 3 to 5 in the discussed city). The author of the article has conducted the research on the customer satisfaction building process occurring in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. In the research he used primary questionnaires which enabled him to build a caused-effect path relation model. Obtained empirical data allows to demonstrate how the appearance of the new market entity influences the prospective customers’ perception of the evaluation of individual functioning aspects of discussed centers as well as the overall process of shaping their satisfaction and loyalty.
