Summary/Abstract: The article deals with current problems of free time and leisure of Ukrainian youth in the new socio-cultural reality through the prism of research, identified the reasons for changing values of young people for leisure, studies on the major social problems of the Ukrainian youth; analyzed socio cultural aspect of contemporary Ukrainian youth examined patterns of development cultural and recreational activities of Ukrainian youth.
