Transaction Security in Online Banking and e-Commerce

Summary/Abstract: The rapid expansion of e-commerce is raising more and more security concerns, from both parts of the payment transaction. Cardholders are worried about the online transaction safety and the privacy of their personal information, while banks focus on avoiding payment frauds and reducing the costs for managing payments. This paper presents the development of online banking, the current risks and methods of ensuring transaction security, along with safety measures to be taken into account by each of us.
