Summary/Abstract: The occasion of this publication is my translation of l. Wittgenstein’s remarks on j. Frazer’s anthropology. this publication localizes these remarks in a broader field of Wittgenstein’s philosophy. The aprioric nature both of the scientific view and of the language itself as the way the world is present is indicated. the importance of the moment of the mystical „source“ of meaning is suggested. A mode of view oriented toward this source as proposed by Wittgenstein is discussed as an alternative to the historical-genetic treatment of phenomena in terms of their cause.
