Summary/Abstract: Modern economics is being shaped in the conditions of globalization, popularization of modern information and communication technologies as well as development of knowledge society. Interactions between market participants are changing, which, thanks to the possibilities of Internet and mobile technologies, are consolidating in borderless networks that have very often global reach. Network participants i.e. consumers, enterprices and organizations collectively generate added value through the exchange of goods and services, and collaborate according to models that have not been used until recently. This mainly concerns the phenomena of sharing and co-creation which sets the recent trends and directions of modern consumers behaviors. The purpose of the article is to characterize and compare these phenomena based on literature and examples of implementation of these concepts on the contemporary market.
