Summary/Abstract: The article presents written accounts, cartographic information and archaeological materials referring to the Naval Anchorage Provato (Eastern Crimea, near Feodosia). In Provato Bay, the Republic of Venice attempted to start a commercial settlement, yet it only managed to found a temporary naval anchorage for the Venetian vessels, with a seasonal trade with caravans coming from the inlands of the Golden Horde on its territory.
