Summary/Abstract: From the beginning of the investigations of Poduri Dealul Ghindaru, an extensive program of research in the field of natural sciences was conceived, a program which would have allowed a reconstruction of the palaeo milieu inhabited by Chalcolithic communities, of the agriculture practiced by them and natural, plant and animal resources they have benefited from and exploitation strategies. The initial project also included geobotanical research for the Poduri area, research that we hoped to assist in reconstructing the paleo-environment. This investigation has been largely completed and we briefly present some information. The archeobotanical research of Poduri led to the identification of 34 species of cultivated plants where spontaneous flora. A series of dates concerning the importance of some crops has been obtained but this problem will be studied in more detail. A careful study of the ritual use of certain plants will also be undertaken. From the archaeological point of view we can evidentiate the fact that the Poduri tell contributes with a large number of species to the floristic conspectus of the Cucuteni culture
