Summary/Abstract: Students’ motivation and attitudes influence greatly any learning process. In this article, we describe two groups of first-year students enrolled at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania), and we analyse their motivation and attitudes towards the English language course.
