Summary/Abstract: Until the outbreak of the First World War, father Johannes Paul Aeltermann accused six editors of Polish newspapers of insult. The editors were Ignacy Wieczorek from Pelplin’s “Pielgrzym”, Antoni Bieliński from Starogard’s “Nasza Gazeta”, Mieczysław Piechowski from “Gazeta Grudziądzka”, Wincenty Skrobalski from “Pielgrzym”, Wilhelm Grimsmann of “Gazeta Gdańska” and Thomas Grzesiewicz from “Dziennik Bydgoski”. In nine processes, the editors were sentenced to a total of five months and a week in jail, and they had to pay 4,700 mark fine. In 1920 one more Polish editor was sentenced to six months in prison after being accused by Aeltermann.
