Summary/Abstract: Interaction of oral literature and tales from Skender Kulenović’s collection, Gromovo đule shows the writer’s inveteracy in oral-prose tradition. By its themes and various forms, the oral tradition as a part of narrative structure of Kulenović’s tales, not only uncovers beliefs of the world whose contours canonly be discerned nowadays, but also has a function deeply motivated by the contents of tales on the whole. The aim of the research work is to show the poetical function of oral telling in Skender Kulenović’s collection Gromovo đule.
