THE ROLE OF PhD STUDIES IN THE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Summary/Abstract: Education plays an important role in our everyday life. Knowledge is acquired through education. Education contributes to our personal development; thus, we can develop social relationships with people around us, in various fields. The Ph.D .program of instruction is a higher form of training which grants the one following it selfesteem and prestige in the social hierarchy of a state and gives him/her the possibility to reach the higher spheres of society and to obtain top leadership positions in important areas.The present article highlights some of the benefits brought by PhD studies to one’s personal and professional development.
