Summary/Abstract: Starting from the distinction between phrase and utterance (and also between text and discourse), the paper aims to point to errors comming from ignoring the context as determinant for the sens of a given tolken. Famous phrases are invoked to prove the mandatory care for the context when chosing to use one of them.
