The Dictionary of the Royal Galician Academy (DRAG), an electronic tool in continuous evolution

Summary/Abstract: The Dicionario da Real Academia Galega is an online dictionary published in 2012, though subject to a permanent updating process. This paper aims at highlighting the impact of new technologies in both the initial configuration and progressive upgrading of every single feature of this lexicographic tool. For instance, they were used for the creation of the corpus on which it is based, as well as for the dictionary drafting, reviewing and updating. Besides, new technologies are essential for accessing the dictionary through the Web and mobile apps, ensuring efficient information retrieval and allowing interaction with users, whose feedback undoubtedly contributes to the improvement of this tool.
