Summary/Abstract: Parties are fundamental elements of a political system. They are constantly evolv-ing phenomena. At the beginning of their existence, the division of these parties was not difficult. They served to express the needs of specific social classes and were classified in this respect. Over the years, the differences between these groups began to blur more and more. The reason for this were the changing needs of a society. The parties did not represent the interests of a particular group any longer, but sought to reach the widest electorate possible. Polarization of programs has occurred. The right-wing was not associ-ated only with conservatism, and the left-wing began to approach the center. The process of Europeanization began to take place, and new social movements appeared in the political arena. Today, anti-establishment groups are gaining in importance.
