Summary/Abstract: Poland is in the European lead, taking the total forests area into account. Forests cover 29,2% of the country’s territory, which is 9,1 mln hectare. Most of them are national forests and almost 7,6 mln hectares are managed by The State Forests National Forest Holding (the State Forests). Forests are our common good and their protection from damages is centuries old in Poland. A very significant threat for the existence and durability of forests ecosystems is posed by an-thropological damages, which are the effects of destructive human activities. This aim of the present article is to describe the economic effects of forests damages which take places on the territory of one of the seventeen public forests managements i.e. Regional Directorate of State Forest in Białystok during the period 2011 - 2015.
