Summary/Abstract: The acknowledgement of the cyber domain as the fifth one – after land, sea, air and space – along with an unprecedented technological development have led to a change. A change in security culture and mentality, education and practice, change that is being shaped by the academic knowledge, trained in laboratories and practiced in organizations.The paper focuses on the undeniable relation between the outstanding developments of information society, along with the increasing types of threats against it, threats that tend to target every national security domain and the measures taken against those threats
