Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the essence of the principles and determi-nation of an entrepreneur in terms of the trademark on the functioning of the com-pany. Modern economic development and increasing competitiveness among busi-nesses, make trademarks play a huge role in their business. Trademarks in business transactions fulfill three basic functions: the designation of origin of the goods or services, warranty and advertising. They are a fundamental part of the promotion strategy and creating the image of both the company and manufactured goods or services offered. In this dissertation, as an example of a protected trademark in the form of the name and brand at the same time, the author presented the company from Podlasie - ADAMPOL SA, which subject of economic activity is logistics services.
