Summary/Abstract: The article presents monastery of Divotino „St. Trinity”. The history of monastery and its role of spiritual centre define the availability of several stories preserved in collective memory. The considerable role of monastery for community defines the transmission of its history by oral and written culture. The written culture preserves and creates possibilities for reproduction of folklore history.
