Summary/Abstract: In order to present regional disparities of Serbia, Human Development Index (HDI) was selected as one of the basic and commonly used aggregate indicators, recommended and developed by the United Nations. When calculating the values for the municipality level, the problem of unavailability of data for the lower spatial units arose, thus some indicators were substituted by similar ones. Based on the calculated values of the index, the municipalities were divided into five groups. The obtained values are presented on a map and an analysis of regional differences is provided.
