Summary/Abstract: This article thoroughly describes the condition of the Upper Debar region in the period between the two World Wars (1918–1941). The situation in both rural and urban economy, as well as the social structure of the population is analysed, based on the census data from 1921 and 1931. Moreover, this article reviews the activities of the political parties, and social and parliamentary elections in the region of Upper Debar.
