Summary/Abstract: The implementation of an organized health care of young children and students represented a major step in dealing with the great mortality and the presence of diseases on the territory of Vardar Macedonia in the period between the two world wars. Doctors’ work, opening of dispensaries, school polyclinics, children’s homes and permanent medical checkups, although in difficult conditions and with scarce staff, still gave results in improving young people’s health.
